Winter walks

Winter is one of the magical seasons for me. Everything is covered in snow, everything is white and sparkly, rimes on the trees and you know that your hometown was visited by Jack The Frost when you look trough the window in the white morning and see your window covered in small ice crystal snowflakes. Magical, isn’t it? I always loved taking a closer look at the snowflake, either it landed on my hair or is it on the window , it is formed in a such beautiful shape! Snowflakes are one of the most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together! Peace of art, right there.

Even though I just looove winter, but I can’t stand the cold! I can put three warm sweaters underneath the coat or jacker, wrap a long scarf and put on a winter beanie and I will still be freezing, like not even litteraly. I think that’s because I have bad blood circulation . I’m such  a losser. But I always try to ignore this and enjoy winter as much as posible.

Whenever I go for a walk to the city center and I start to feel that my body temperature  is dropping and my nose starts to look like Rudolf’s  and when my cheeks begin to lose their colour I always fancy for some hot chocolate with cream on top (mhmm…) or tea. At the moment I really enjoy this coffehouse Secund cup . OMG. Their beverages are just something you have to put on you number one list things that you want to try! It’s sooo delicious and they have so much to offer! But the best part is that it is CHEAP. Like cheap cheap. And the atmosphere , people, mugs are incredible!

Just look at this bad boy!

After warming up in a cosy coffee shop I went for a walk in the park, it is in Vilnius, Lithuania, it’s called Bernardinu sodas . It’s beautiful and stunning like in summer, autumn, winter and spring. It’s a wonderful place to go for a romantic walk or with your family, friends too. the surroundings in that park will catch your eye. It has a beautiful fountain, a carousel for kids that is quite old, but still working! Kids are still enjoy it as much as grown ups. In summer this park is just full of flowers, all kind of species! The view is worth looking at. This national park is located near the other famous land marks in Vilnius , such as: Three Crosses, Gediminas’ Tower, Vilnius Cathedral.

Winter is the time of comfort , for good food and warmth, for the touch of friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire and hot chocolate: it is the time for home.

My Biggest Dreams…

The most common thing I tend to do ,  is to dream. It always calms me down, makes difficult moments be forgotten, at least for a few minutes. At that time, everything seems so peacful and easy, everything is just Perfect. No worries, no stress, no panic attacks, just that one perfect moment in your little funny head that you make. But it’s just an excuse from something that we don’t enjoy in our life. But it does not last forever, eventually we will wake up, come to sense that it’s not reall… You open your eyes, look around, and a tear might even show up. Thinking and whising that everything that you just made up in your endless mind of imagination could come true just by snapping your fingers. But nothing never happens like that.

But wait just a sec!  Stop right there. OK, snapping with your fingers won’t be the solution to the current situation, but YOU are the key to everything! If You have a dream then you have a path, right in front of you, waiting for you to step in. No matter how bad your current situation might be, never give up. The most important thing is to stay strong & positive. Talk to a friend that might have almost the same dreams as you do, just rummble about it, dream about it! I’m telling you ,it is amazing, when you start talking with a person about it you can’t even see how time passes by, haha .I always try to remind myself that I can do it! Don’t listen to the others! Just go for it, if I don’t try then there is nothing to expect. No one will not built the life that you want, they can only help and suggest, only YOU have the ability to make things reall that once stumbled in your head, you can set them free!

Here are just a few of my favorite quotes that might increase your confidense:

  • “Define your future by your dreams and not by your memories, by your hopes and not by your fears.”
  • “A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. It is what you would like life to become.”
  • “To dream anything that you want to dream – that is the beauty of the human mind.”
  • “You can plant a dream.”
  • “Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.”

Brownies with peanuts

Whenever I feel bored or just in the mood for baking I don’t mind to move a bit in the kitchen and bake some goodies. What I mostly like to make are cookies, brownies and cupcakes. Really looking forward to try baking a cake, never had an opportunity tough , haha. So, today I came accros Zoella’s blog post where she baked these delicious looking brownies. But instead of putting white and milk chocolate bars and mini bags of milky bar buttons, I put in baking chocolate  and peanuts. And you know what? It came out quite delicious!

  • 200 g or 1 cup of Sugar
  • 65g or ½ Cup Plain Flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 100g or ¾ Cup Cocoa Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 50g or 2/3 Cup Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g of Peanuts
  • 1 Bar of  Baking Chocolate

Heat up the oven to 180C. You will have to melt the butter , so pop it into the microwave for 30 sec and stir it, reapet this action until the butter will be melted.

When you will have the melted butter pour in the sugar and stir it together. ( I put 50 grams less sugar because it would be to sweet, but if you like sweet you can pour in 250 g or 1 ¼ of Sugar)

Later on, stir in the cocoa powder and once they are fully mixed, add in one egg at a time, mixing well until it is all incorporated.

Don’t over-mix it! Let it stay gooey.

Then, pour in the melted baking chocolate. I popped the chocolate in the microwave for a minute or two and stirred it, you can also do this in a bowl over steam, ( I was to lazy). Make sure you don’t forget to stir!

Last but not least, pour in the plain flour, baking soda, salt.

Finally, mix the peanuts. If you want you can dry the peanuts on frying pan without oil on a low, very low heat, for about 10-15min so they whould dry. I prefer to dry them because then they are even tastier!

Transfer the mix into a lined or greased pan. Pop it in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the top is shiny.

Then, leave it to completely cool on the side.

And the most enjoyable part…! Dust with the icing sugar! It makes it all better, magical, haha!

Bon appétit ♥

Had to light up this candle!!! It smells sooo good! Chocolate scented candle with chocolate peanut brownies, just on point.
