Brownies with peanuts

Whenever I feel bored or just in the mood for baking I don’t mind to move a bit in the kitchen and bake some goodies. What I mostly like to make are cookies, brownies and cupcakes. Really looking forward to try baking a cake, never had an opportunity tough , haha. So, today I came accros Zoella’s blog post where she baked these delicious looking brownies. But instead of putting white and milk chocolate bars and mini bags of milky bar buttons, I put in baking chocolate  and peanuts. And you know what? It came out quite delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 200 g or 1 cup of Sugar
  • 65g or ½ Cup Plain Flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 100g or ¾ Cup Cocoa Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 50g or 2/3 Cup Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g of Peanuts
  • 1 Bar of  Baking Chocolate

Preparation

COOK TIME: 15 Min

PREP TIME: 10 Min

Heat up the oven to 180C. You will have to melt the butter , so pop it into the microwave for 30 sec and stir it, reapet this action until the butter will be melted.

When you will have the melted butter pour in the sugar and stir it together. ( I put 50 grams less sugar because it would be to sweet, but if you like sweet you can pour in 250 g or 1 ¼ of Sugar)

Later on, stir in the cocoa powder and once they are fully mixed, add in one egg at a time, mixing well until it is all incorporated.

Don’t over-mix it! Let it stay gooey.

Then, pour in the melted baking chocolate. I popped the chocolate in the microwave for a minute or two and stirred it, you can also do this in a bowl over steam, ( I was to lazy). Make sure you don’t forget to stir!

Last but not least, pour in the plain flour, baking soda, salt.

Finally, mix the peanuts. If you want you can dry the peanuts on frying pan without oil on a low, very low heat, for about 10-15min so they whould dry. I prefer to dry them because then they are even tastier!

Transfer the mix into a lined or greased pan. Pop it in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the top is shiny.

Then, leave it to completely cool on the side.

And the most enjoyable part…! Dust with the icing sugar! It makes it all better, magical, haha!

Bon appétit ♥

Had to light up this candle!!! It smells sooo good! Chocolate scented candle with chocolate peanut brownies, just on point.
